Scott Rodwin, AIA, LEED AP, NCARB is the President of Skycastle Construction and Principal of Rodwin Architecture. He was named the 2006 “Young Architect of the Year” by the AIA for the Western Mountain Region, and was one of Colorado Construction’s 2009 Top 20 Under 40. He has been a leader in the sustainable design field for twenty five years, and has won more than two dozen local and national sustainable design awards. Scott has taught residential green building for the City of Boulder, the American Institute of Architects, USGBC, the Colorado Green Building Guild and currently teaches Green Building at Naropa University. Scott’s love of the Architect-led design/build process began while he was working as a framer on construction sites in college. He received his architectural degree from Cornell University in 1991.
Brandon David, LEED AP, is our General Contractor and Vice President of Design/Build. He has over 20 years of hands-on experience in residential and commercial building in the Rocky Mountain area. After moving to Boulder in 1999, he worked as a lead for a high-end custom green home builder until 2006, when he joined Skycastle Construction. His passion for design/build has led to a career in architecture, where he uses his broad construction expertise to create high quality, thoughtfully-crafted buildings. He brings an impeccable level of personal integrity and calm, clear communication to the process. Brandon worked on the National Champion C.U. Solar Decathlon project. He received his B.S. in Architecture with Honors from the University of Utah in 1999 and a Bachelors of Environmental Design with Honors from the University of Colorado in 2004. He is the father of three young children and he recently completed the design and construction of his own home.
Tim Hoefling is a Site Superintendent for Skycastle Construction with thirty five years of experience in all aspects of commercial and residential construction. A licensed contractor, he is especially skilled in communication with clients and trade partners, and excels in problem solving. His clients routinely comment on how pleasant and personal he is to work with. Before moving to Colorado, he worked in construction and outdoor program development for a non-profit in Europe.
Michael has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry and he specializes in interior woodworking. He has a small wood shop and enjoys building custom pieces when he has the time. Michael grew up in Montana and he moved to Colorado in 1989. He has been married for 25 years and shares his home with furry four-legged friends. Michael enjoys many outdoor adventures, such as, rafting, fly fishing, camping and all things tropical.
Jocelyn Parlapiano, Associate AIA and member of Women in Design, is a Project Coordinator for Skycastle Construction and Rodwin Architecture. She is a master of the specification and selection process and will help organize and coordinate the choice of the products that go into your home. Her interest in design and construction has always been a driving aspect in all her ventures. After receiving her B.F.A in Visual Theory and Aesthetics from the University of Buffalo, NY in 2008, she took her interest to the next level and in 2011 earned her Masters of Architecture and Design-Build Certification from the University of Colorado at Denver. In 2010 with a team of fellow grad students, Jocelyn had the opportunity to be a part of Design Build Bluff and AmeriCorps while designing and building The Windcatcher House for a Navajo family in Utah. During grad school she also had the opportunity to participate in the HUDs HOPE VI Main Street program in 2011. Her role was to work closely with the community and contractor to design and develop one of five houses that would help in revitalizing Rural downtown Kit Carson Colorado. When Jocelyn is not working in the office or onsite, she is most likely skiing, snowshoeing up the Glacier, or on an adventure with her dogs.
Eleah is the Marketing Specialist for Skycastle Construction and Rodwin Architecture. She just moved to Boulder from Sacramento, CA where she was born and raised. She graduated from California State University of Sacramento in 2016 with a Bachelors in Business with a concentration in Marketing. In her last year in Sacramento, she did marketing and design for an engineering firm. Eleah is passionate about learning and is excited to pursue her graphic design & web design skills. When Eleah isn’t working, she loves hiking with her husband and hunting down good coffee shops.
Kath is the Office Manager for Rodwin Architecture and Skycastle Construction. Born and raised in London, England, Kath has been a Colorado resident for 18 years, has experience in office administration and customer service, and has a passion for architecture and design. When not working, she can be found spending time with her husband and three teenage children, and traveling extensively whenever she can!
